Cultivating Sustainability Initiatives
All our projects are built on the principle that renewable energy should do more than power businesses and homes.
It should power change.
That’s why we align every development with measurable environmental, economic and social benefits, including job creation, skills development and educational support in rural communities.
With the Gen-E Foundation, our mission is to discover and develop generations of promising young people, living under the shadow of our renewable energy projects, and to invest in their potential through professional sport, education and skills development to achieve their most positive outcome.
The foundation is currently identifying potential rugby athletes and providing bursaries for them to attend Grey High School as a stepping stone to long- term careers.
We have further committed ourselves to building a tertiary sports institute in George called the Harrier Institute - not only to further the professional rugby careers of these talented local players, but also to develop their aptitudes and skills to achieve lives of economic security beyond sport.
